In a time of major advances in digital media 911 Media Arts Center envisions a future where independent voices thrive in a society that fosters diversity, innovation and artistic excellence.

For over 18 years, 911 Seattle Media Arts Center has hosted and inspired scores of filmmakers and video artists. Among our proud roster of artists-in-residence is director James Longley, who took advantage of our low-cost media production facilities to edit his ground-breaking documentary Iraq In Fragments. With the help of producer John Sinno, the film went on to be nominated for an Oscar.

911 supports artists through it’s Artist-in-Residency and Scholarship programs.
