Blender 3d is a free, open source, full fledged 3d program downloadable from the internet. Unfortunately, it can be a fairly intimidating at first! This course is a beginner's intro to Blender, covering such materials as thinking in 3d space, navigating around the user interface, and the basics of 3d lighting, rendering, texturing, and animation. This is a perfect course for those who have always wanted to get into 3d animation, but just had trouble getting up that first step.

Ian Hubert has been a part of countless short and feature length films, becoming proficient in many aspects of production, from pre to post. By day he is a freelance CG guy, creating elements that 'look pretty darn real but aren't, really' for random corporations, low budget indie films, and a few artists.
