This workshop will cover the fundamentals of working with digital media in the graphical environment Max 5, from navigating help and tutorials to modeling types of synthesis, making instruments and interactive environments, and routing MIDI, OSC, and physical data. We will discuss encapsulating your work and modular approaches to making performance tools, using presentation mode, and designing custom interfaces and standalone applications. We will also look at Jitter (the video component of Max 5) and working in PD (a free application in the MAX family).
