The Juneau Underground Motion Picture (JUMP) Society will be screening a collection of short films in cooperation with the 911 Media Arts Center and The Warren Report on Tuesday, May 30th at 7:00pm.

The short films featured in the screening were created by Juneau artists as part of the JUMP Society film festival, an event held twice a year to provide a screening opportunity to aspiring filmmakers. In addition to the festivals, the JUMP Society offers workshops and technical assistance.

"Each year they get a little better," said Aaron Suring, co-founder. "This winter was our eighth festival in Juneau and we now have a collection of over 200 short films created by local artists."

The twenty-five short films in the traveling collection feature the talents of hundreds of local filmmakers, actors, musicians, and writers from the small, isolated capitol city. The show crosses a wide variety of genres and will be of particular interest to those who have called Juneau home.
