Welcome to the world of KOOKtv Cinema, where the hair is fake, the drama is real, and no one escapes the vagaries of growing up
human. Local video makers Sulo Turner and MW Ebert bring you a night of signature storytelling with new works both sensitive and
garish. In "False Memories" a desperate woman connects with a ruthless therapist in an attempt to heal from childhood abuse. "Cruel
House" examines aging and intimacy in the story of mother and daughter who must choose between honesty and self-extinction. Also
included is a new cut of the classic short "Mexico City", which first debuted at 911 in 1996. With an unflinching visual style that's
one part polyester and two parts reality, KOOKtv Cinema is an antidote for adult survivors of American television.

Grandmaster Greg D'Elia does an incredible job hosting Open Screening. If you've ever seen him in action, you know what we're talking
about. He warms up the crowd, he offers insight, he leads the discussions and most importantly, he watches hundreds of short films
and videos (and never gets tired... Greg, what's your secret?) At the end of the year we celebrate this labor of love with a special
"Best Of" screening complete with drinks and snacks. Last year's party was a real hoot (and crowded too). Join us for a drinky,
snacky, jolly good time as we celebrate the best of OS.
