Raise the Roof is a twenty minute documentary that explores issues surrounding affordable housing. It is told from the perspective of community organizations, bankers, builders, and people living in and nearby housing projects. This 911 produced documentary aims to debunk stereotypes and create positive images of people in need of housing assistance, the projects themselves, and the impact of the projects on the surrounding neighborhoods.

911 is eager to expose the prose of Doug Rushkoff to the 911 membership. Doug is the Author of Media Virus in which he reveals the tiny memes responsible for subverting mainstream media and modes of thought. Doug's subject for this discussion is Good, Evil and the Internet , a hip topic indeed. Fantastic Mr. Rushkoff's appearance is a project of 911's venerable:

Come laugh and cry with us! Revealing and healing the secret shame of local film and video makers as they share their most crude, pretentious, superficial, and embarrassing moments on their way to becoming "real" artists. See works by Marianna Haniger, Peter Mitchell, Stacy Simpson, Shinique Smith, Matt Wilkens and many more who wish to remain anonymous at this time. Prizes will be awarded in categories such as "Most Artistically Pretentious," "Most Influenced by Absurd French Theory" and "Most Technically Inept." A secret ballot of the festival audience will award the prize for "Worst of Show." If you have a work you would like to unveil, this is your opportunity for artistic catharsis! The evening will feature the acoustic music of Madigan, "ascender and materializer of the subtle." Madigan has toured with Morphine, been featured on KCTS and recently traveled to Michigan to play at the Womens Festival in front of 10,000 people.
Two video shorts by Harper Carter:
"Not a Pretty Picture" illustrates an ignorance of diversity through the development of a picture. "Let Them Eat Cake" shows the distribution of "wealth" as represented by a chocolate cake, as two characters have their just desserts.
Volunteers from M.O.N.S.T.E.R. will be present to distribute literature, answer questions and wear funky masks.
