In June, 911 Media documented Art on the Fly performances in front of the Whole Foods on Westlake and Denny, as part of the Seattle International Dance Festival. Dancers and performance artists created work in public spaces, including the Seattle Streetcar.

Canada Health Care Movie

911 Media is proud to announce the fiscal sponsorship of Healthcare, Eh?, a documentary film by Laurie Simons.

The United States health care system is the most expensive in the world, but the U.S. consistently under-performs relative to other countries on most dimensions of performance.

This feature length documentary is currently in the production phase. It explores the health care system in Canada: how it came to be, how it works for ordinary Canadians, how it is paid for, and how it compares to its American counterpart.

Summer Youth Programs Update: Web Design!

In this summer’s first session of Web Design with Coyote Central, students learned to make their own websites. Learning the basics of web design, including HTML and CSS coding, Flash and Photoshop, each student built their own site from scratch - check out their results below!

Joseph P. Gray

Joseph Gray earned a BFA from Cornish College of the Arts in 1999, focusing in video and sculpture. Since then he has worked with digital art and design practices for both artistic projects and commercial design applications. He began learning programming working in the graphic design industry which quickly led to creating custom software and hardware tools for art installations and visual performances. His sculptural and performance work has been exhibited at Unit B Gallery in San Antonio, TX; Meridian Gallery and The Lab in San Francisco, CA and a variety of venues in the Pacific Northwest including 911 Media’s former New Media Gallery. http://grauwald.com

Brian Markle

Brian Markle is a local designer, animator and illustrator. Client work includes 911 Media Arts Center, The Henry Art Gallery, Cold Coffee Productions, and Bailey Gatzert Elementary School. He holds a BFA from Cornish College of the Arts in Visual Communication. You can view his website here.
