ACTION! Part Two at Ghost Gallery

Video and New Media Exhibition sponsored by 911 Media Arts Center

    Opens Thursday, July 14th 5-8pm
at Ghost Gallery 504 E Denny Way at Summit

An exhibition of new media and video art at Seattle’s Ghost Gallery on Capitol Hill. ACTION! Part 2 is the second take of temporal visual works co-curated by Laurie Kearney, owner of Ghost Gallery.

ACTION! Part 2 revs up with a series of video works collected by Dumb Eyes creative director Christian Petersen under the moniker ACTION! INTERNATIONAL FILM CLUB. The film club members in this showing are: Nicolas Sassoon, Janne Parviainen, Sara Ludy, Sabrina Ratté, Dro Carey and Elekra Kb.

Amanda Manitach and Izzie Klingels teamed up again this year to create a video using a vintage film montage and cut paper.

Joseph Gray and Keith Tilford also team up for the second take to create an interactive sculpture with the working title “Schrodinbug Descending a Staircase”. The work consists of complex geometries cut and folded from acrylics of various optical qualities with hand-traced projection-mapped light that responds to the viewers movements and gestures through code written in the Processing language.

Nick Bartoletti and and Matthew Ellis have created something involving analog video feedback and hand built video synths. Bound to be state-of-the-art 2011 via 1984 style.

911 Media Arts Center is sponsoring the exhibition with equipment and logistics.

After Party at the UNICORN for Dumb Eyes subtly named monthly event PENETRATION.
