ACTION is an upcoming digital media exhibit to be held at Capitol Hill’s Ghost Gallery. This exhibit opens Thursday, July 8th from 5-8pm, and will run through August 7th. Expect a visual feast with video, sound & light installations by local creatives Joseph Patrick Gray & Keith Tilford, DUMB EYES & Tabor Robak, Izzie Klingels & Amanda Manitach, Frank Correa & Nick Bartoletti. Joseph Gray has been dazzling eyes in Seattle for years with his highly cerebral “light sculpture” creations. One such piece, entitled S34sc4p3, was installed recently at the Seattle Art Museum Gallery on 3rd Avenue. For ACTION, Joseph will be collaborating with Seattle artist Keith Tilford. If you want to get an idea of what will come forth from such a collaboration, visit Keith’s blog (and that’s just a start!). In the main galleries, there will be installations by the above-mentioned team of DUMB EYES and special guests. Be prepared for some visual stimulation overload! Ghost Gallery will also be hosting a BBQ in the Courtyard, weather permitting. There will be an after party at Unicorn at 9pm, where DUMB EYES hosts “Penetration” after the BLITZ Arts Walk every 2nd Thursday (Unicorn is located at 1118 E. Pike Street).
