DocuTalk and a Women In Film Grant
We’re changing things up for this month’s DocuTalk! Instead of meeting at SFI, there will be a screening at the Northwest Film Forum at 2pm of DocuTalk member and editor Amy Enser’s work-in-progress Take A Bow. Amy and director Lu Leslan are hoping to get audience feedback before locking the film. Following the screening, there will be follow-up discussion over drinks and snacks at the Elysian Brewing Company. See you there!
In other news, Women In Film has announced the application deadline for the 2011 Professional Grant. The grant awards one deserving woman filmmaker’s project $1,000 in cash, along with in-kind donations from the Northwest film industry (valued at over $10,000 in the last cycle), promotional support through Women In Film (WIF) and a theatrical screening of the finished piece. The grant is open to current or new professional Women in Film members in the Seattle Chapter. Submissions are underway now with a final application deadline of March 1st, 2011. For details, visit http://womeninfilmseattle.org/grants.htm. Step up to the plate, ladies – we want to see your camera roll!
