It’s Summertime…

…and now is the time to catch up on all that learnin’ you’ve been meaning to do! We have summer workshops for kids and adults, from brushing up on your editing skills or learning to make short videos, to 3-D animation with the open source program Blender, to learning to tell stories using the hand-drawn and the digital. Check our class listings frequently to see what is coming up next!

For all you self-starters out there, don’t forget you can always rent time in our computer lab to play with programs like After Effects and Final Cut Pro. More open source options will be coming your way soon!

Summer Youth Classes!

Every summer, 911 Media offers the Young Producers Project, a week-long workshop for where kids work together to write, shoot and edit a short video. Camera and editing skills are taught through a series of exercises and hands-on instruction, while everyone in the group takes turns directing, acting and shooting.
This summer, we will be offering two sessions in Seattle (July 18 – 22 and August 1 – 5) and one in Redmond (July 25 – 29). Visit our website here (or continue scrolling through this e-mail) for more information, registration, and a peek at what kids have created in the past.
