Events and Programs at 911 Seattle Media Arts Center
911 is host to a variety of events and programs, from across the spectrum of media arts.
Move It!

911 Media’s newest venture, Move It!, is an every-other-month screening of experimental animation. We will be announcing Move It #4 soon, so stay tuned for more information! The screenings are always free and open to the public. Visit us on facebook to keep updated on events.
Thanks to our new partner, Seattle Film Institute, we are proud to announce our monthly programs Open Screening and Docutalk have resumed. Both events are hosted at SFI, located at 1709 23rd Ave, Seattle WA.
Open Screening

Next screening: September 9th
Open Screening is held the 2nd Sunday of every month at 7:00 PM at SFI, hosted by Greg Gould. Open Screening is an “open mike night” for video and digital media arts; an open forum for filmmakers and digital media artists – ranging from amateur to professional. Discussion follows each screening.
How it works: Bring your DVD or VHS, disc/tape. Make sure it’s cued, and no longer than ten minutes in length. First come, first screened. Cost to submit or attend: $2.00 donation.
Check out Open Screening on Meetup.com.
DocuTalk@911

Next meeting: September 23rd
911 Media Arts Center welcomes local documentarians to our documentary community group DocuTalk@911. Every fourth Sunday of every month (7PM – 10PM) at SFI, 911 provides an opportunity for documentarians to network, share knowledge, find feedback and mentoring opportunities, and gain support in the pursuit of their work. It’s a potluck! Bring a dish and come prepared to be inspired and make connections with regional documentary filmmakers and all others who love the documentary format. Documentarians are welcome to present their work (finished or in-progress) and to gather supportive feedback.
To join our mailing list for future events please email docutalk@911media.org.
