" 911 has resurrected its installation program with a vengeance, working with some of the best artists in town and presenting truly provocative works."
-- Eric Fredericksen, The Stranger, Aug. 12, 1999

911 WINDOWS is a highly visible venue showcasing the multi-media artwork of internationally known and emerging artists. 911 WINDOWS offers a unique exhibition space in five large rectangular windows facing a major intersection. Window installations can be any media and may represent the work of one or a group of artists.

Previous installations have included Openings, a collection of stacked cans by Oakland artist Robert Ortbal, Skin so Thick, a series of video projections by Seattle artist Jennifer West, and German artist Kain Karawahn’ s fire art videos in the WINDOWS’ five 36" monitors.
