As an Apple Authorized Training Center, 911MAC offers quality training by certified trainers in Apple-certified curriculum. Curriculum includes Final Cut Pro Studio, DVD Studio Pro, Shake, Logic and Motion. Students take away an Apple certified textbook, a certificate of completion and above all, a wealth of knowledge on the latest professional postproduction technologies used in the industry today.

Apple Pro Certification

What is an Apple Certified Pro?
A certified user who has reached the highest skill level in the use and operation of Apple’s Pro Applications as attested to by Apple.

How do I become an Apple Certified Professional?
To become an Apple Certified Pro, you must pass an online exam administered at an Apple Authorized Training Center. The test is a timed, online exam. Level I, II, & III exams are administered at the end of specific courses facilitated at the Centers. Or if you prefer to learn on your own or believe you already have the necessary skill-set in your chosen application, you may register to take the Level I exam at 911MAC for a fee.

What are the benefits of becoming an Apple Certified Professional?
As an Apple Certified Pro, you are recognized as a highly skilled user of the chosen application and have the ability to differentiate yourself to employers, students, and colleagues as a Certified Pro to promote career growth and teaching capacity. Upon successful completion of the certification exam, you will receive a certificate from Apple distinguishing you as an Apple Certified Pro and will have the right to use the Apple Certified Pro logo. This logo can be placed on business cards or on your company's website.  Apple will also list your name and contact information on their Apples Certified Pro website page.

Want to become Level I Certified without taking the full course?

Buy the desired Apple Pro Training Series manual, start studying and when your ready come on down to 911 and take the end user exam!
The best deals for the Apple Pro Training Series manuals are found at Amazon. Look for the title Apple Pro Training Series to assure you purchase Apple developed study/reference manuals.

Do I have to take a class to become Level 1 certified?
No, you may opt out of the training course, and schedule the Level I exam at 911 MAC. To become (Level II) certified, you must take an official Apple Final Cut Pro advanced certified training course in order to qualify. Level II exams can only be taken in conjunction with the advanced classes taught at 911 MAC, the Apple Authorized Training Center.

How much does the exam cost?
The stand alone exam fee is $90.  An exam taken after attending a 911MAC Certified Course is included in the cost of the training.  If you do not pass, you may retake the exam again after 7 days. You will be required to pay another $90 per exam attempt.

How difficult are the exams?
The exams are fairly comprehensive and will test even the seasoned Pro Applications veteran. We recommend taking the corresponding 911MAC course in order to prepare properly. We cannot guarantee that you will pass, but we do our best to prepare students for the concepts that are covered on the exam.

Things to Know

  • You are required to have an Apple Tech ID number before registering for any Apple exam. You can apply for a Tech ID by following the instructions at certifications.apple.com. You will be notified of your score immediately upon completion of the exam. Your certification will arrive in the mail approximately 2-4 weeks after passing the exam. If you do not pass the exam you may register to take the exam again after 7 days. Exams are provided by and monitored at 911MAC. Because the exam is extremely challenging, we recommend taking the series of classes designed to prepare you to pass.
