Blocking is one of the most important and challenging tasks of directing and although you think you may have it all figured out, think again. This course will introduce you to Hollywood's secret symbolic notation system, created by Per Holmes, a master of the craft and presented with special permission. You will expand on your current knowledge to increase production value and the impact of the images you frame. Through in class lectures combined with hands on exercises this intensive workshop will familiarize you with the tools and techniques needed for using the cameras eye most effectively and with ultimately outstanding results. Whether you are a director, cinematographer, videographer, script supervisor, or however you participate in the making of films, you will leave the class with the skills you need to improve your work with expressive fresh perspectives and cutting edge points of view. Class limit: 12
