hrough hands on exercises, screenings and discussions you will learn how to create
strong moving images. Starting with simple ideas we will build to more sophisticated
techniques for using the lens, light composition, color, and effective camera or
subject movement. We will screen excerpts from various film styles including silent
film, documentary and the latest work shot on DV. We will look at both locally
created work and commercial work to think about the exciting possibilities, and
limitations of shooting on DV.
