Color correction, along with lighting, cinematography and editing, is becoming a powerful and necessary tool in digital cinema.
Whether it is simply ironing out visual continuity or enhancing mood and story, the look of your film or video is open for manipulation.
This class is an introduction to digital color correction, and will teach you the steps to become a master of color and mood.
After screening varying examples of color correction, we will discuss how color works with narrative. The students will dive into two different techniques for grading and color manipulation using Final Cut Pro Studio 6 and Magic Bullet Looks Plug-In for After Effects. Attendees are encouraged to bring clips or projects they would like to use to practice their color skills.
Leave this class feeling confident about using color in your next Doc, Short, Feature, PSA or Home Video. Prerequisite: some knowledge of FCP and After Effects. Class limit is 8 people so don't hesitate!
