Teens take to learning editing software like fish take to water!
Final Cut Pro is a fairly intuitive editing software that can be used
to cut anything from consumer DV to uncompressed High Definition. Through
a set of simple editing exercises youth will become comfortable with standard
editing techniques. By the end of this class teens will have
a basic understanding of non-linear editing and video editing and be
able to:
Set up a basic computer editing station
Capture video and audio onto your computer
Efficiently organize your captured media
Insert and arrange audio and video clips to create a show, and then add simple transitions
Output your show to tape or video file
Our primary focus is gaining competency and comfort with basic nonlinear editing techniques and
vocabulary as they apply to cutting with Final Cut Pro.
Course fee includes a total of 6 hours of independent lab time.
Class Limit: 8
